I spent most of high school and college studying theater: lighting, acting, direction, costume design, makeup and set construction. I spent nearly ten years working in a library off and on, studying book covers and reading voraciously. I spent four years working in the children's department, building props and puppets, masks and illustrating stories. I spent two years working with molten hot bronze, making masks and dragons and jewelry. I spent two years drawing on people with henna. I spent a year doing graphic design.
The last three years I've worked freelance, doing e-book covers and private commissions. You'd think I'd have figured out I was meant to be an artist a long time ago.
